Getting Started with Polaris

Welcome to Polaris! This guide will help you set up your account, configure your payment methods, and start accepting payments quickly and efficiently.

Step 1: Set Up Your Account

1. Create Your Account

INFO

To create your Polaris account, please request your access here. Your test account provides full access to all the platform features.

Your account gives you access to all the features of Polaris, allowing you to:

  • Create a merchant structure of your company.
  • Add payment service provider (Connectors).
  • Process transactions with the hosted checkout page.
  • Invite team members.

Step 2: Determine Account Structure and Team Members

Polaris supports flexible account structures to help you manage your business across different divisions and merchants. To set up your merchant structure:

  1. Login to your Polaris account.
  2. Navigate to the appropriate Merchant Configuration section.
  3. Add a client, divisions, merchants, and channels. For more information, see Merchant Configuration.

This allows you to control payment flows and permissions across different areas of your organization.

Step 3: Complete Your User Profile and Invite Team Members (Optional)

Fill in the details of your account and activate two-factor authentication for added security. At each level of the merchant structure, you can invite team members and assign them specific roles.

Step 4: Add Payment Providers

Go to one of the channels you created in Step 2. On the details page, you can add a connector to link your preferred payment service provider to Polaris. Find a full list of supported connectors here. For each channel, you can add multiple payment service providers and their associated payment methods.
To learn how to set up a connector, refer to Accepting Payments (Connector Setup).

Step 5: Get API Credentials and integrate our hosted checkout page

You’re now ready to use the Polaris Checkout Page! Get the ID of your channel and request access to your checkout page. For detailed options and configurations, check out the Checkout Page Guide. Check out our demo to see what an integration of our hosted checkout page with a typical WooCommerce WordPress online shop looks like.

Step 6: Switch to Live Environment

The switch from your test environment to the live environment currently requires manual assistance.
