Reconciliation Report

The Reconciliation Report page in Polaris provides detailed insights into the results of automated reconciliation jobs that compare gateway transactions with settlement data. Users can filter, sort, and export reconciliation results, as well as define rules to fine-tune matching behavior.

Reconciliation Results Table

The table presents reconciliation outcomes for the selected job or time range, supporting advanced filtering and export capabilities similar to the Unified Settlement Report.

Filtering and Sorting Options

  • Date Range Filtering:

    • Choose a custom range or predefined options (Today, Last 7 days, etc.).
  • Keyword Search:

    • Search across all transaction fields with live updates.
  • Column-Based Filtering:

    • Apply filters on specific columns to narrow down reconciliation results.
  • Sorting:

    • Sort any column in ascending or descending order by clicking its header icon.

Reconciliation Status

Each transaction is labeled with a reconciliation status:

  • Match: Exact match between gateway and settlement values.
  • Auto-Match: Values differ slightly but fall within the acceptable deviation defined by the rule.
  • No Match: The difference exceeds the allowed threshold.
  • Unknown: The record could not be matched due to a missing Polaris transaction ID.

Display Customization

  • Add or remove columns to focus on key fields.
  • Reorder columns via drag-and-drop.
  • Settings are session-based and not saved.

Export Records

  • Exported files reflect the selected columns and filters in the table.
  • Supports CSV and XLSX formats.
  • Track and download exports via the Exports Page.

Reconciliation Rules

Use the Rules tab to configure how Polaris determines whether a transaction should be marked as a match or auto-match.

Rule Configuration

  • Percentage Deviation: Define an allowable difference as a percentage of the expected amount (e.g., 2%).
  • Fixed Deviation: Set an absolute allowed difference (e.g., $0.50 or €1).
  • When both are configured, the lower threshold is used to determine the match.

Actions

  • Add Rule: Define new reconciliation rules with fixed or percentage deviations.
  • Edit Rule: Update thresholds for better accuracy.
  • Delete Rule: Remove rules that are no longer applicable.
